Let's Get This Started!

Alright, it sounds like there is a good response. Now we need to figure out what study we want to do. Let's come up with ideas...

Some people have talked about still having the get together part and internet part. We will need to look at a day we like. Here is the thinking...we pick a day of the week...if you can not come...(because stuff comes up, kids need you, end of the quarter, school events, too tired, you live in Texas)...we still have it. If you miss, you read the post and comment on the blog. You also comment on the blog during the week so that we can discuss all week. Share your thoughts, questions, prayer concerns.

Here is what we need to decide... what study, what day, what time, where?

Let's hear the ideas!

Love you all!

What about this? It looks exciting and quite applicable to our lives!

Chase the Lion: Stepping Confidently Into the Unknown -

6 Sessions
Our current Christian culture doesn’t usually encourage sensible people to chase after risky opportunities and dreams. We want to believe that if it’s a good decision, it will always be and feel safe because that’s the way God wants life to be. But what if you discovered that the fulfilling life God wants for you is hiding behind a present problem, a past failure, or a lifelong fear?

Inspired by a fearless warrior named Benaiah (2 Sam. 23:20) who changed the course of his future by winning a battle with a real lion, this 6-session Bible study expands the message of Mark Batterson’s best-selling book In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day.

By examining other biblical and modern-day examples of people who were willing to put everything on the line, young adults will be challenged to take risks, seize opportunities, face fears, reframe problems, embrace uncertainty, and look foolish when it comes to chasing after God-given opportunities."

I'm up for it...I think I know of some lion chasers!

In regards to a day to meet, Thursdays seem to work for me.

I have looked at the stuff for this study it looks good! If this is what we decide to do... it looks like the study books are about $8. (Not bad!) I have downloaded the podcasts that go with it from iTunes. We can listen to them when we get together. I will (try to remember to) email it out on Thursday during the day that way if you can not make it you can listen to it too!

This study sounds interesting. I can't do Thursdays. Both girls have gymnastics 4-5:45 and then we have choir practice from 6:30-7:30. I can always just do the online thing. :)

Tuesday's are good for me! The book is $8.50 at Lifeway. I'm so excited! Things are shaping up for an interesting school year! Pray that I have furniture!

I think we will wait until after school starts up. The next two or three weeks will be crazy! I say we should start the week of the 25th or the 1st! What does everyone think? It's a 6 week commitment! Let's do it!
